Places to Eat, Drink & Shop

Where to eat

Wick has something to suit everyone at every time of day, with restaurants, cafés, takeaways, food trucks and pop up caterers. And with local suppliers providing produce from the sea and land, where better to sample the freshest of dishes and highland cuisine.

Where to drink

Wick was a “dry” town for 25 years from 1922 and 1947! But thankfully those days are behind us, and Wick has plenty of places to enjoy Highland food or to settle in for a blether and a drink.

Where to shop

Wick’s main shopping area is in the centre of town, running along Bridge Street and the High Street which is partly pedestrianised. The easiest parking to find is in the Riverside Car Park, behind St Fergus Church. Park here for pharmacies, the Post Office and the Banking Hub, ATMs, shops and cafés. And you’ll probably drive past the retail park to the south of the town, and Tesco to the north.
